Description of Altus at SOLO:

Altus, is Phase 2 of the SOLO District, located at the southwest corner of Lougheed and Willingdon.  The building address will be 4485 Skyline Drive.  Altus will be a 55 storey mixed use office and residential tower and is expected to be completed by 2016. Boasting 280 homes and 230,000 square feet of office space and ​welcoming Altus residents to their new homes beginning summer 2017.​ It will be the second tallest building in the Vancouver Metro Area, the first being the Shangri-La in Downtown Vancouver. 

Several companies are currently personalizing their office space and the office tower will open for business in January 2017.

A variety of shops and services have opened their doors at SOLO District in recent months, creating a community where people can grab their groceries, prescriptions and a coffee all within walking distance. Whole Foods, Starbucks, Shoppers Drug Mart and BC Liquor Store are among the companies proud to have locations here. In just a few days, G&F Financial will open too, adding banking to one of the many services available at SOLO District.

Altus is built by the Bosa legacy, headed by Jim Bosa of Appia, design by Chris Dikeakos Architects and interiors by Cristina Oberti Interior Design. There will be 280 homes ranging from 1 to 3 bedroom and everything in between. The contemporary building will be built to LEED Gold Standards and will feature geo-thermal heating, electric car charging stations, car share program, concierge and all units will have central air conditioning and 9’ ceilings.

Altus will have a one of a kind 5000 square foot amenity space on its 55th storey roof deck, aptly named Club 55, which will feature a full kitchen and dining area, outdoor lounge/fireplace and barbeque, poker table, ping pong, media room and the most incredible views from this vantage point. There will be no other amenity space quite like this. The tower will also offer a second roof deck on the 15th floor garden area, which will also feature another barbeque and seating area. Additional recreational and fitness areas will be provided in the SOLO community, which will see 100,000 square feet of new retail/office space, Whole Foods, and extensive landscaping and walkway features for a pedestrian friendly community. Steps to Brentwood Skytrain Station, and fast access onto Highway 1 or Lougheed Highway, connecting you quickly to Downtown or suburbs.
